The Legion of Mary (LOM) is a volunteer group in our parish which acts as the “hands and feet of the priest.” Each member promises to attend a weekly meeting (Due to Covid-19, currently held on Mondays via Zoom) and to give 2 hours a week in service to Our Blessed Mother. The service has been assigned or approved by the parish priest.
The meetings are very structured with prayer, reporting, and study. It is never longer than 1.5 hours per LOM regulations. There is always lively discussion of work done, ideas for new projects, and assignment of work for the coming week. Every meeting contains a short study of a section from the LOM handbook providing members with an increased knowledge of the Catholic Faith and of the LOM.
There is tremendous good that comes from the legionary membership. Examples of the LOM work include:
New members are always welcome and always needed as the work continues to increase. For more information simply come to a meeting to see what it is all about!
How beautiful that the Mother of the Lord Jesus has come to this home!
The Legion of Mary invites you to bring our Lady of Fatima - the Pilgrim Virgin - into your home for a 2-week visit. You will enjoy praying the Holy Rosary with her and bringing your family together to share in the special time of prayer to deepen your faith, hope, and charity. At this time of caution due to COVID-19, we just deliver and pick up the Pilgrim Virgin - we do not come into your home. Follow the link below to sign up and contact Peggy Collins at 704-300-5136 to arrange the visitation. God bless you.Second Joyful Mystery - The Visitation
