Sunday, April, our parish celebrated "Día del Niño" which is a celebration of children and their families at the 1 PM Mass. We started off with a reminder that family begins in front of the altar in the Sacrament of Marriage. Five couples who completed a class to be married in the Church were blessed and given certificates of completion by Father. Afterwards all the children received a special blessing by Father. He reminded them that God gave them their parents and how they should both listen to and obey them. After Mass, our awesome youth group hosted a spectacular party for all of our children. Special thanks the two clowns who came from Gastonia and provided lots of laughs for the little ones. And to Mickey and Minnie Mouse (two of our youth group members) who stood at the front door of church after Mass and led everyone down to the social hall for a great afternoon of food and fun.
